August 24, 2016 – Bringing it to life… finally!

Lunch and numerous cocktails in a tavern that has been in operation pretty much since 1836 was how this idea came to life. We dreamed up the visions of jewel toned bustle dresses in 2013, and have finally gotten around to starting them. I have been very excited about this project since, and have been patiently waiting to make it. I am even more excited now that the satin has arrived, and I can finally see the true colors of what was ordered.

I am down to just figuring out the last few details, and after my current Regency project is done, I can get started!

November 2, 2016 – Moving way too slow!

This fall has been way too busy. With the shuffling of furniture in and out in the main living areas of the house, I have not had time to do anything with the sewing room, except take stray items back in there. lol. But, I hope to have a large part of the sewing room done by the end of the month, so I can finally start on my costume.
